Germany at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Mexico

The biennial Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction is the world's foremost gathering on reducing disaster risk and building the resilience of communities and nations. From May 24th to 26th 2017 the fifth edition of the platform takes place in Cancún, Mexico. It is the first global platform after the adoption of the Sendai Framework.
Germany highly supports the implementation of the Sendai framework. It endorses the international dialogue and exchanges to monitor progress and identify measures to advance the implementation of the framework.
Germany is present in Cancún with a large delegation and a market booth to facilitate exchange of German approaches, activities and experience.
